Suicide Prevention Video

The state of California mandates that every middle and high school student learn about the symptoms and signs of depression and the resources available for students who are suffering with depression and suicidality. The peer counselors , who are committed to helping students improve their mental health, decided that they wanted to personalize the information for our Granite Bay High School's study body. This video was put together for the Fall 2019 term.

Student Experience 2019:

First Day of School at GBHS

The first day of school is a unique one at Granite Bay High School. The 4 classes get divided up and rotate through different sessions that are designed to motivate them, encourage them, guide them, and educate them about the upcoming year. One of the sessions is prepared by the Peer Connections program and is called The Student Experience. Here is the video from this year's session.

Student Experience 2018:

First Day of School at GBHS

This video was embedded into a GoogleSlide that included more information and an interactive activity. We wanted to address the struggles that students face during their high school years and how to find the resources needed to improve things. Students often feel alone, feel like they are the only ones facing struggles, so we wanted to emphasize the unifying experience that we all share throughout our lives.

Promotional Video: Spring 2016

During the first year of the Peer Connections Center, we partnered with an extremely talented GBHS student named Ben Gould, who worked miracles with filming and editing. He helped us make our first promotional video that represented all the different services we offered during the first year.

CENTER HOURS: 11am-1pm

GB Peer Counselors are well-trained and standing by to improve the well being of the GB student body.
