As we grow from teenagers to young adults, we face a lot of scary stuff. We face the reality of dealing with responsibilities like making our own doctor’s appointments, maintaining a job, and as we reach the magical age of 18, our generation is responsible for America. Now I know what you must be thinking, “You’re crazy! How in the world are a bunch of kids going to run our country?!” well I say, they already do (haha). According to the information found on this website: https://www.census.gov/prod/2014pubs/p20-573.pdf, about 40% of 18-24 year old registered voters voted in the last pesidential election, and that only made up about 15% of the voting population. Numbers of voters are decreasing across the nation, but the amount of complaints rise. If you want to see a change, you have to try and fix the problem, not just hope it will resolve itself. By staying educated in the current events that happen not just in America, but also around the world, we might grow up to be the next great leaders of our companies, our states, and even our country!
